Sensational director Shankar is undoubtedly the top filmmaker in Indian cinema. Though his last outing ‘I’ ended up as a disappointment, the ace director is busy carving out the sequel of Robo which has been titled 2.0. Made on a budget of Rs 350 crores, the movie features Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson in the lead roles and Bollywood Superstar Akshay Kumar will be seen as the negative lead. The movie is already leading the list of the most awaited films that will release this year.
As per the update, the satellite rights of 2.0 have been sold out for an amount of Rs 110 crores which is huge. This includes Hindi, Telugu and Tamil versions. Popular network Zee TV acquired the rights for such a whopping price. AR Rahman is composing the music and 2.0 will have heavy dose of VFX work. Produced by Lyca Productions, 2.0 will release during Diwali this year.
