Sensational director Shankar is making news with the sequel of Robo, which has been titled 2.0. Superstar Rajinikanth is the lead actor in the movie and the entire shoot of the film has been wrapped. Shankar wanted ample time to wrap up the post-production work as the movie has enough dose of VFX work. 2.0 is said to be the costliest ever film made in Indian cinema and the makers spent Rs 400 crores on the movie. The film too has been carrying huge expectations and has been slated for early next year release.
The makers have been quoting Rs 80 crores for the Telugu theatrical rights across AP and Telangana alone. Producer Sai Korrapati has been leading the race however the update says that the deal has been closed. Top distribution house Global Cinemas along with Lyca Productions will release the film across AP and Telangana. The makers have not disclosed the exact price of the deal. AR Rahman is the music composer and Lyca Productions are bankrolling this prestigious project. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is the lead antagonist and Amy Jackson is the heroine.
