The arrests of TDP sympathisers is continuing on the charges of indecent social media posts against the ruling YCP leaders especially women MLAs. In a latest case, two persons were arrested for their posts in TDP Anantapur Facebook page post against YCP Kalyanadurgam MLA Ushasri Charan. One YCP leader Bhaskara Reddy complained to the police who immediately swung into action. A police team went to Bangalore and arrested TDP sympathiser Thippeswamy. Another TDP activist was also arrested for liking and commenting on the objectionable post. TDP leaders said that the ruling party leaders are filing false complaints while the police are acting on them without checking facts.
In a similar way, TDP activists were arrested for posts against YCP Chilakaluripeta MLA Vidadala Rajani recently. TDP leaders are asking why the police are not even giving police station bail to the accused. The laws are made tougher after Jagan Reddy became CM but they are being applied only to the opposition activists. The YCP social media activists are posting many indecent comments against TDP women leaders and followers but the police are not taking any action. As per the latest laws, two years jail is being given for a first time offence on social media and four years jail for a second time offence.
