Master filmmaker Shankar has a knack for spending extravagant budget to bring grandeur to his films. His upcoming science fiction thriller Robot 2.0, which is the sequel to the 2010 blockbuster film Robot, is touted to be the most expensive Indian film till date. Lyca International banner is the production house behind this project. The regular shooting is progressing at a brisk and Shankar is leaving no stone unturned to make it a massive hit.
According to the latest update, a costly set worth 20 Crores has been erected in Chennai to can a high octane fight sequence featuring Rajinikanth and Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar. Hollywood hotshot stunt choreographer Kenny Bates has been roped in to design the fight sequences in the film. This fight sequence is said to be the major highlight for the film.
Amy Jackson is the film’s leading lady and AR Rahman will score the soundtrack. The film is slated to hit the screens early next year.
