The stunning VFX shots in Baahubali 1, which offered an eye feast for audience, have set a new benchmark for Indian cinema as far as the visual effects are concerned. The elaborate settings, misty waterfalls and lush green forests turned out be a mesmerizing watch for viewers because of the extensive use of VFX shots in these scenes.
Now, audience are in for a much better visual extravaganza when the highly awaited follow-up Baahubali 2 hits the screens on the 28th of this month. Kamal Kannan, a key weapon in SS Rajamouli’s technical team, the VFX supervisor who worked for Baahubali 2, shared some interesting stuff about the VFX effects in the film.
Kamal Kannan revealed that a total of 36 studios in India and more than 1000 technicians worked for nearly 18 months on the visual effects for Baahubali 2. He stated that unlike Baahubali 1, in which there are only a few scenes involving VFX shots, Baahubali 2 will have many scenes featuring stunning display of VFX effects. He added that every scene in Baahubali 2has atleast two VFX shots.
Kannan said it was a daunting task to picturize the Devasena kingdom ‘Kuntala Rajyam’ which is magnificent just like the Mahishmati kingdom. He revealed that the breathtaking interval episode will leave the audience with an awe feeling. The stunning display of visual effects with a tinge of heart touching emotions makes the interval block the best sequence of the entire film, adds Kannan.
