Blockbuster Tamil romantic drama 96, featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha Krishnan, is going to be remade in Telugu with Sharwanand and Samantha in the lead roles. Prem Kumar, who helmed the original, will wield the megaphone for the Telugu version as well.
The regular shooting of 96 remake will roll out in Kenya very soon. The first schedule will commence later this month and the makers are planning to wrap up the shoot in less than 5 months. Samantha will join the shoot in May. The Telugu version will have minor changes according to the sensibilities of audience here.
Dil Raju is bankrolling this film and he is eyeing a Dasara release.
