The Andhra Pradesh BJP leaders keep giving indications that they no longer fancy their alliance with TDP. The saffron party is now a composition of migrators from Congress and other parties. Since the national BJP leaders are not intervening, speculations are ripe that BJP might sideline its long-term ally TDP.
In the budget session, BJP floor leader in the Legislative Assembly P Vishnu Kumar Raju elevated the land grabbing issue in Vishakhapatnam.
The Vishaka north constituency MLA first read an article from Sakshi to which the Speaker raised an objection, but later he also read it from Eenadu. He purported that 1000 acres of land was grabbed with the backing of the ruling party leaders. He allegedly that the leaders threatened the tribals and illegally snatched the assigned lands.
Even BJP’s MLC from Vishakapatnam MVS Sharma also revealed details related to the land grabbing.
Likewise, BJP MLC Somu Veerraju downright condemned the attack on transport commissioner Balasubrahmanyam by TDP MP Kesineni Nani.
There is a lot of buzz surrounding BJP’s alliance with the TDP already.
It may be recalled that, Purandeswari in a public gathering said that people are unhappy with TDP and if their dissolute behaviour continues, BJP might want to reconsider its relations with the TDP.
