Vikram Kumar has made a big name for himself in very short span of time. He has the rare knack of taking up experimental subjects and narrating them in commercial format. His new film starring Akhil Akkineni is also said to be a commercial one but it will not fall into the routine 6 songs & 6 fights format.
13B, Manam, 24 – all have different themes, all are experimental subjects and yet they were narrated without missing commercial elements. Vikram makes sure to leave his brand on each of his film.
He has now penned a love story for Akhil. The project went on floors this Sunday. It will have all the commercial elements. The action-packed love story, which is said to be an attempt of Vikram to change the way commercial films are being made, will reportedly have less than 2 hours duration. Screenplay of this film is said to be first of its kind.
Nagarjuna has reportedly given complete freedom to Vikram and also allotted about Rs 40 crore budget to relaunch his younger son. Remember Vikram was the one who delivered a classic, ‘Manam’ to the Akkineni family.
