Hitmaker Shankar’s most ambitious project 2.0 , which is the sequel to his blockbuster sci-fi drama Robot 2.0, has been pushed to January 2018.
Tipped to be the costliest Indian film ever, 2.0 stars Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is playing the antagonist in the film. The shooting has been wrapped up barring some patch work and a few scenes. The makers previously announced that the film will release as a Diwali treat. But, the latest update from the producer revealed that the film has been pushed to January 25th next year.
As the film is made on a huge scale with top class technical values, Shankar and his team are leaving no stone unturned to deliver a stunning output. Major part of the film will feature stunning VFX effects and the technical team need some more time to bring out the best quality visuals for audience. Hence the film’s release has been pushed to early next year.
AR Rahman is composing the soundtrack and Lyca productions banner is bankrolling the film.
