A month after Kukunoorpally Sub Inspector Prabhakar Reddy shot himself to death, a four-page report on the suicide was submitted to the Director General of Police.
As per the report, the SI feared that his name would be associated with Beautician Sirisha’s suicide. So, he shot himself on between 10:50am to 11:00am on June14 at police quarters. It also added that the SI was pressurised by superior ACP Giridhar but was not the reason for suicide.
Additional DGP Gopi Krishna was given the responsibility to investigate into the matter. Officials probed as many as 27 persons who had met the deceased before committing suicide.
The deceased’s call data records exposed that he was regularly in touch with his batch mate and Banjara Hills SI K Harinder. It may be recalled that Harinder suggested approaching Prabhakar to resolve the Sirisha, Rajiv and Sravan dispute. Prabhaker allegedly tried to assault the beautician sexually. Consequently, Sirisha was found hanging in the early hours of June13 at her workplace.
