Sekhar Kammula’s Fidaa is extending its dream run in overseas with a strong second weekend. After a phenomenal first weekend with a $ 960K haul, the romantic drama notched up strong figures on weekdays and crossed the million dollar mark effortlessly. On its second Friday and Saturday, Fidaa collected promising figures and entered the $ 1.5 million club. By the end of this Sunday, the film has collected a total of $ 1.63 Million and is now eyeing the prestigious 2 Million club.
On the other side, Gopichand’s latest offering Gautham Nanda has failed to impress the overseas audience. The action drama took a poor on its preniers and failed to improve in the first weekend. The film has collected a total of $ 40K by the end of first weekend and disappointed the trade circles big time. The film will end as a loss venture and will hardly recover the expenses in all areas.
The outdated storyline and the lacklustre narration have dented the film’s collections despite carrying good buzz before the release.
