Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao has been conferred with the Global Agriculture Leadership Award from the Indian Council for Food and Agriculture (ICFA) for the year 2017. He received the award under the Policy Leadership category. He will be facilitated at the Global Agriculture Leadership Summit on September5th in New Delhi.
Chief Minister KCR who is also a farmer has been respected for making an impact in changing the lives of millions of farmers in the state. As per ICFA, KCR is revered for the bringing about revolutionary policies and programs for the agriculture sector in Telangana.
These agriculture awards are the top most in the country, presented to individuals and institutions for the leadership roles. ICFA will be presenting 10th edition of Global Agriculture Leadership Awards for personalities recognizing the contributions of various stake-holders in agriculture. The National Awards Committee is headed by Nobel Laureate Professor MS Swaminathan with two dozen persons of international eminence as its members.
