Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s deafening silence over the repeated openhandedness of his brother-in-law and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna has become a topic of deliberation.
In the 2019 assembly elections, Balakrishna allegedly will be replaced with his son-in-law Nara Lokesh as TDP candidate to contest from Hindupur, cites a report in an English daily.
Hindupur is a bastion of TDP since inception and has been giving unprecedented majority to the yellow party since 1985. For a first-timer Lokesh, this constituency would be a safe bet.
Balakrishna is putting the party in awkward situations with his condescension which is not going down well with many people. The actor-cum-politician will indisputably be given an alternative position, but not the MLA ticket in the upcoming elections. Nonetheless, the TDP supremo may not completely sideline Balayya from the party founded by his father.
