Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said that TDP founder Late N T Rama Rao wanted to give the TRS supremo a place in his cabinet. NTR apparently liked KCR’s straightforwardness, but said that he is helpless because of the caste equations.
He noted that from the constituency he won during NTR regime, there were hardly 100-150 Velama’s and obviously caste was never a factor. KCR said that in Telangana people don’t consider the caste factor. He said, “I belong to microscopic minority caste of Telangana. Had the caste factor played a key role, we wouldn’t have been here”.
“Politics is done by urge not by caste”,said KCR. Deploring the opposition party’s reference of “KCR Dora”, the TRS supremo said, “Dora is not a caste, it is a cult. Uttam Kumar Reddy is Dora, I am not a Dora”.
He said there is no point in giving caste angle to his Anantapur visit as he had good relations with Paritala Ravi during his stint at TDP. Since he couldn’t pay homage when Ravi died, he took time to visit his ghat on Sunday.
