KTR
Telangana Minister of IT&C K T Rama Rao has attacked the BJP central leadership for overlooking Southern states despite contributing considerably to the growth of the country. He noted that BJP-led-NDA government is ensuing a “not-so-favourable” policy making attitude towards South India.
In an interview with TNIE, KTR not only made sensational statements on the critical attitude adopted by the politicians of North but also on demonetisation. He advised the BJP leaders to act wise and accept the fact that demonetisation has not worked.
He noted that there are not a lot of achievements for BJP. Siricilla MLA sees that the problem for BJP lies in the fact that they are trying to replicate the Gujarat model, without understanding the rest of the country.
He said that though the BJP is not anti-South, the TRS leader was clearly stated that the south India states should get the same opportunities and importance in North Indian. He deplored the move of Union Government to operate bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmadabad.
KTR questioned why has the government not thought of perceiving a bullet train connecting Southern metropolitan cities to the national capital. He asked “Why can’t we conceive a Golden Quadrilateral like what Atal Bihari Vajpayee did?”
He noted that giving slogans or good ideas is not sufficient but the central government needs to adopt more practical approach in making policy. The TRS apparent heir, noted that the MPs and parties from south are no longer playing significant role in union politics. He said that saffron party lacks connect with the people and does not see the scope for the TRS and BJP to work together.
