Samantha to select a Gollabhama saree for Ivanka

Ivanka reached Hyderabad early morning IST hours today. She will be atteding Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in Hyderabad. Telangana Government included the famous Gollabhama hand-loom saree in the list of items to be gifted for the special guest.

Gollabhama sari also Siddipet Gollabhama are saris made in Siddipet, Telangana. Siddipet ‘Gollabhama Saree’ has a history of over 50 years and these cotton saris are popular for their inlay figure work and motifs. The sari received Intellectual Property Rights Protection i.e Geographical Indication (GI) status for its uniqueness.

Telangana hand-loom Brand Ambassador Samantha had selected few Gollabhama sarees that she found as the best as per the request of TS government. One of Samantha’s hand-picked sarees will be presented to Ivanka before she leaves. Not sure at the moment if Samantha gets an opportunity to directly meet or directly present the gift to Ivanka on behalf of government.
