Aiyaary film banned in Pakistan
Aiyaary, latest bollywood film with a patriotic undertone, has been barred from release in Pakistan. This film written and directed by Neeraj Pandey and features Sidharth Malhotra, Manoj Bajpayee, Rakul Preet Singh, Pooja Chopra.
Aiyaary is set against an army backdrop of India. The film focuses on corruption within Indian army. In India too, the movie got a green signal for release after screening for the Ministry of Defense, and implementing certain modifications prescribed by the ministry. Then again the Central Board of Film Certification reviewed the film and finally film got clearance for release in India.
However, this content was disapproved by Pakistan and film will not release in the country. This is not the first film of director Neeraj Pandey to get banned in Pakistan. Neeraj Pandey made his debut with the film Wednesday, that remade in Telugu as Eenadu with Kamal and Venkatesh. His another movie Special 26 is recently remade in Tamil with Suriya and released in Telugu as Gang. His previous film Toilet Ek Prem Katha is also big hit and also won critical acclaim.
Aiyaary is the third film of Neeraj Pandey to get banned in Pakistan, while his earlier films like ‘Baby’, ‘Naam Shabana’ also banned in PAK.
