National Highways Authority of India and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways are taking up ‘4-laning of Yadgiri-Warangal Section of NH-202 (New No.NH-163) in the State of Telangana’, with a cost of Rs.1905 Cr, on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Contract) mode. The project is expected to be completed in 30 months. The Foundation Stone for the project will be laid by Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari on October 23, 2015.
The scope of work involves four laning of 99.10 km road, connecting Yadgiri & Warangal. The Project also includes
- 4 Bypasses – One each for Vangapalli, Aler, Janagaon & Warangal
- 2 ROBs
- 4 Vehicular Under passes
- 1 Overpass
- 3 Pedestrian Underpasses
- 3 Major Bridges
- 25 Minor Bridges.
With the completion of this Project, the total four lane connectivity will be established between Hyderabad & Warangal, which promotes the industrial activities around Warangal. Additionally it also saves fuel, time, not to mention improving the safety & comfort.
