Young actor Naga Shaurya bounced back with Chalo and the film is said to be the actor’s biggest hit. His next outing titled Kanam has been delayed due to several reasons and the super success of Chalo brought enough boost for the project. Critically acclaimed filmmaker AL Vijay directed Kanam which is a bilingual and Naga Shaurya, Sai Pallavi played the lead roles. Mega producer Tagore Madhu acquired the theatrical rights of Telugu states for a decent price of Rs 2 crores.
Sai Pallavi too enjoys huge fan base in Telugu and considering Naga Shaurya, Sai Pallavi’s current market values, Tagore Madhu is said to have acquired Kanam for a decent price and it is a safe project. Lyca Productions bankrolled the film which is expected to hit the screens during the first week of March. The film has been titled Karu in Tamil.
