The Aircraft Parts Manufacturing Unit of Boeing, the world’s famous airline manufacturing company, is ready to be operational from tomorrow. Telangana IT Minister KTR will be inaugurating the Manufacturing unit tomorrow. Then Defence Minister, Manohar Parrikar laid the foundation stone for the manufacturing plant on June 18th, 2018. The manufacturing unit is set up in the nation’s first Aerospace SEZ, sprawling in 250 acres in Adhibhatla Village, Ranga Reddy District. The Aerospace SEZ is a part of the 351 acres SEZ handled by the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC).
Tata Advanced Systems and Boeing have jointly set up the manufacturing unit in 13 acres, at a reported cost of Rs 200 crores. Apache Helicopters, along with the Spare parts of the Boeing AH-64 fleet will be manufactured at this unit.The manufacturing unit has already received orders from various countries. More than 15 countries use Apache Helicopters for Defence purposes.
The Boeing’s‘Aircraft Parts Manufacturing Unit’ is a milestone in Aerospace Sector for Telangana. Helicopter parts manufacturing units are already functioning in the Aerospace SEZ.
Recently, TATA and GE (General Electric) laid the foundation stone for LEAP Engines Manufacturing Unit in the Aerospace SEZ. The future looks bright for the Telangana Government, especially in the aerospace sector exports.
