It was meant to happen long back. The storm was brewing in the Vytla household for a long time. The main reason apparently cited was the sudden decline of fortune. According to the Chamber rules, if a film tanks at the box office, the hero and the director who take the lion’s share of remuneration will compensate a part of it equally. Director Vytla had to return 2.5 cr from his pay for ‘Aagadu’, now it is doubled as Bruce Lee flopped. It is five crore and rest as miscellany that is hanging over his head like a Damocles sword. The industry people say that the director is very particular about his money and during Aagadu too, he refused to go to the shoot till his dues were cleared. After Dhookudu became a hit, he was on a high and it was a clear case of not being able to handle success properly. He also stole the credit from Kona Venkat but the last thing he expected was the latter will go public and fight for his right. The director did bag Bruce Lee but Ram Charan Tej made it clear that he will not go ahead with the project till Kona and Gopi Mohan become a part of the story board. Vytla was left with no option but to work with the writers with whom he had an axe to grind. All through the shoot there was dissatisfaction.

Vytla is known to have a lot of sentiments associated with films and family like any other industry person. Just as we blame a bad Vastu or a heroine’s iron leg, he too wanted to sell away the brand new house in which he hardly lived and no one was willing to buy it at least for the rate he was citing. Roopa according to sources who has been tolerating the ill-treatment reached a saturation point and filed a complaint at the local police station. She has been living in her parents home ever since the harassment increased and it came to blows. Some say this happened around the release of Bruce Lee and others cite that the complaint was filed a couple of days back. The family reportedly got the duo together and the case was withdrawn after a compromised was reached. All said and done, this is just an example of how families tear apart and professional relationships go kaput when a person becomes self-centred and vindictive and expresses his ire on-screen in the form of spoofs and verbal abuse off-screen respectively.
