The dynamics of Indian politics can be the best topic for a case study. Even the best brains in politics are finding it hard to guess their opposition. To add more flair to the ongoing political drama in the Parliament, YSRCP MPs stepped into the Lok Sabha with resignation letters in speaker format.
The YSRCP MPs wanted to resign, and gain brownie points, hoping that the Lok Sabha will get adjourned indefinitely. But to their amazement, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan said, the house again meet on Monday. This pushed them on the back foot, making them withdraw their ‘resignation proposal’.
This raises two questions; why can’t Lok Sabha be adjourned indefinitely, given the current situation? And why did YSRCP step back?
The BJP party wants the Lok Sabha to function irrespective of anything. This gives them an edge during the election campaigning. They can claim thatnon-NDA MPs stalled the house from carries its business during the entire Parliamentary Budget Sessions.
In case of YSRCP, the party realized that if their MPs resign at this moment, it is like giving the TDP a lead, which in turn is waiting to claim itself as the only AP party fighting for the AP SCS.
On a whole, with BJP’s selfish politics, and AP parties’opportunistic approach, the dream of getting AP SCS might remain as a dream.
