APCC president N Raghuvira Reddy asked the government to tell how a nondescript Sitapati Abhishta had been appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. Talking to media in Vizag, the APCC president said he was appointed without issuing a GO.
“What is his qualification ? What way he is qualified to hold a key post in CMO. What are his responsibilities in the office?” Raghuvira asked and demanded that Government come out with an explanation. The Congress veteran alleged that chief minister’s son Lokesh Naidu was controlling everything in the chief minister’s office thorough Abhista. Abhista’s duty is to keep informed Lokesh about everything happening in government,” he added.
According to Raghuvira, Sitapati Abhishta was a proxy to Nara Lokesh Naidu son of chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. ” Lokesh Naidu is keeping tabs on the everything. Every file is being sent to Abhishta who in turn informs Naidu’s son. I am told files move only when Lokesh gives green signal through Abhishta,” the PCC president said. The only qualification of Abhishta was he was friend of Lokesh, Raghuvira added. Stating that the coterie of TDP in government was diverting the relief to TDP workers he said during Hudhud about 2 lakh ration coupons had been distributed to TDP party workers while many real victims remained unattended.
