Telangana Irrigation Minister Harish Rao is well known for his straightforward and hard-hitting statements. At the same time, the TRS leader is often hailed for his intellectual when it comes taking key decisions in implementing government schemes. Talking at the ‘Raithu Bandham’ scheme implementation in Sangareddy district, Harish Rao came down harshly on Congress.
‘Congress has been portraying the parties that are not supporting them as pro-BJP. There is no need for us to support any party. The interests of the state are most important to us than anything else’, said Harish Rao.
The minister questioned the Congress government why it did not award ‘National Status’ for irrigation projects in the AP Reorganization Act 2014. ‘The Congress leaders in the state do not have integrity. Why aren’t they fighting in the interest of the state? For the power and politics come first, than the people of the state.
We will be distributing Rs 750 crores for the farmers in joint Medak district. CM KCR will be invited for inaugurating this scheme’, concluded Harish Rao.
