Naa Peru Surya Audio review
Naa Peru Surya is an upcoming war drama starring Allu Arjun and Anu Emmanuel in lead roles. The film is directed by story writer turned filmmaker Vakkantham Vamsi. The film has been garnering much attention for its honest taking and quality promotional material. Interestingly,the music is composed by Bollywood duo Vishal-Sekhar.
The album begins with a passionate patriotic number Sainika sung by Vishal Dadlani himself and penned by Ramajogayya Sastry. The song is exquisitely recorded with Macedonian Symphonic Orchestra and the arrangements are of top notch. It slowly builds up the tempo and never looks back with even a bit of hesitation. The interludes are quite appealing and have a contemporary touch which would appeal to the younger audiences.
Lover Also Fighter Also has a retro feel to it with impressive bass work and rhythm section. Performed by Sekhar Rajivani , the song is quite peppy to hear and fun to relish. There is also a folk element to the composition which is even more enjoyable. Ramajogayya Sastry emanates much confidence and poetry with this experimental song.
Armaan Malik delivers another winner with a feel good love song Beautiful Love penned by the legendary Sirivennela Sitarama Sastry. The song has a country style impact which is coupled with contemporary style. Chaitra’s vocals give a wonderful colour to this number and a special mention should be made for Meghdeep Bose’s confident electric guitar.
Musical magic is recreated with Maya sung by the really talented Arijit Singh and Ramya Behara. This song has a bit of trance and feel good ballad which is quite a pleasure to hear. Arijit Singh carries the song on his shoulders with his beautiful rendition and excellent Telugu diction. The guitar strums and swift chord progression effortlessly blends to folk chorus and nativity.
The best of folk comes next with Yenniyello which is brought to liveliness by the young singer Malavika. With thumping beats and rhythm section,the song is hummable and fun to hear. Lyrics by Ramajogayya Sastry are quite appealing and draw a parallel between the protagonist and Lord Krishna. The song also has a feel of A.R.Rahman’s 90s melodies as well.
The inevitable item song touch comes with Iraga Iraga sung by Rahul Sipligunj and Mohana Bhogaraju which very much follows the regular template by the experiment is to use electric guitar progressions for an item number. The song will surely get its attention from mass audience for what it offers.;
Verdict:
Naa Peru Surya is a enjoyable album but the melodies and duets take away the credit more than the commercial numbers.
Our Picks: Beautiful Love, Maya , Sainika
