After being frozen for over 3 years, the AP Congress leaders are recouping their strengths, preparing for the 2019 AP Assembly Elections. Speaking to the media in Vijayawada today morning, APCC Chief Raghuveera Reddy announced that Kerala CM Oommen Chandy has been appointed as AICC General Secretary in-charge of Andhra Pradesh.
‘With his suggestions and advice, we will march ahead with 2019 Elections as our target. People should understand that all the commitments made in the ‘AP Bifurcation Bill 2014’ are only possible with the Congress party. We will educate the people about the same’, said Raghuveera.
Responding to CBN – Rahul Gandhi friendly gesture at Kumaraswamy’s sworn-in ceremony as CM, Raghuveera said that, it was just ‘coincidental’, and nothing on the political lines. He also went on to say that no talks have been held with TDP as of now regarding pre-polls alliance in the state.
Raghuveera criticized CBN stating that the AP CM is still not out of BJP. ‘Why is the wife of BJP minister a part of the TTD Governing Council? How did Defence Minister Nirmala Seetharaman’s husband share the dais with CBN at the ‘Mahanadu’ conclave?’questioned Raghuveera.
The AP Congress Unit is on high, with Raghuveera leading the way. The victory in Karnataka has surely given the Congress party “wings”.
