Carrying forward the campaign the BJP launched against the state government, party senior leader Kavuri Sambasiva Rao lashed out at the ruling TDP government and said it was losing its steam . Talking to media in Anantapur, Rao said corruption was on the rise in the state and values were being thrown to the winds.
As part of the policy to mobilize the people of Rayalaseema Region many senior leaders of the party have been on tour in Rayalaseema. A fortnight ago, Kavuri Sambasivara during his visit in Kurnool district said the region should be given top priority while releasing water from Srisailam reservoir. He also warned the Government of a possible separate state movement in the region if the region was ignored. He said Rayalaseema should be given priority over coastal districts as far as the water release is concerned.
” The TDP is getting weakened in the state. Consequently the importance of BJP is growing in the state, politically, ethically and ideologically,” he said. Talking about the Rayalaseema he said BJP had been fighting for the state’s development. ” The region has been backward for centuries. We have been working for a Bihar-like package for the region from the centre,’ he said.
Mincing no words, Kavuri said, chief minister Chandrababu Naidi, as the ally of BJP, should react on the Modi-effigy burning incidents across the state.
Now, on Tuesdday, Sambasiva Rao demanded that Polavaram project be constructed immediately. He is of the opinion that the much hyped Pattiseema was of no use.
