“It is a pro urban, fun comedy where two traditional Telugu families are meeting to get their children married. The boy and the girl are a strange combination, the girl is super confident and the boy is lazy. After four or five rounds of pelli choopulu, these families meet. It is a very conversational movie and is being shot in live sound,” says hero Vijay Devarakonda to Telugu360.com. The handsome and exuberant actor from Yevade Subramanyam had taken a six month sabbatical listening to scripts and finally shortlisted three films which will all go on sets one after the other. Vijay says he never felt he was away for these many months, time just flew by when he joined the crew. Pelli Choopulu is being directed by Tarun Bhaskar who made a hilarious Telangana short film Sainma. This one has Ritu Verma as the heroine. Vijay’s next two films are ready to go to sets early next year. Watch this space for more details.
