In what is an unusual combination, the likes of director Puri Jagannadh and actor Nani are in deliberations for a project, the talks of which have almost reached a final stage. “Both have held discussions about this project long back and it seems they’ve reached a point where they are happy with the script. The film will provide Nani with the opportunity of shedding his boy-next-door tag and try something massy, a factor which attracted him towards Puri in the first place,” said a source in the know.
The source added that the project is likely to roll towards the year-end. “Nani will be done with ‘Jersey’, his sports drama with Gowtam Tinnanuri, by then. Puri, in the meanwhile, will also be through with his film with son Akash.”
