Mr. Palle Raghunatha Reddy the Andhra Pradesh IT minister, during his Boston tour today visited the prestigious Harvard Business School. He attended a round table conference organized by the South Asian Institute Harvard University. The Director of South Asia Institute Mr, Tarun Khanna and other dignitaries Raj Choudhury, Meena Hewitt attended this meeting. The IT Minister briefed the delegates at the Harvard University on the IT Policy, Innovation and Start-up Policies and the Innovation Initiatives in State of Andhra Pradesh.
The Minister along with the IT Secretary Mr. Phani Kishore discussed about the start-up ecosystem to be developed and sought advice from Harvard. The minister extended the invitation on behalf of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh to the Harvard team to come visit the new State of Andhra Pradesh. Later the Minister then met with Prof. Sanjay Sharma at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The Minister and his delegation also visited the MIT and the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. The IT Delegation met with Lori Glover and also visited the Robotics Laboratory at MIT. The IT Delegation met with Sheryl Barnes and Dana for a couple of hours at the MIT to discuss potential issues in the fields of Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The Minister expressed his deep sense of appreciation and lauded the Chief Minister Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu Garu for his guidance, support and visionary leadership. He explained about the initiatives for e-Pragati and the MIT team assured their full co-operation and support to Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
Later that evening, the Honorable Minister met with the Telugu association of Greater Boston. There was a huge response from the NRIs who announced 155,000 e-bricks for the development of Amaravathi. There were also sixteen Letters of Intent from various IT companies during this event. The event was graced by Mr. Mohan Nannapaneni and Mr. Shankar Magapu President of Telugu Association of Boston.
