BJP has given a jolt to YSRCP today as BJP leaders appointed Butta Renuka as YSRCP deputy floor leader in parliament. Vijay Sai Reddy came down heavily on Union minister for parliamentary affairs Anant Kumar.
It is known news that five MPs of YSRCP have resigned from their posts couple of months back. However, as per records, party still has three MPs – Butta Renuka from Kurnool, S P Y Reddy from Nandyal and Kothapalli Geetha from Araku parliamentary constituencies. Even though Renuka and SPY Reddy joined the TDP, officially they’re still from YSRCP. Kothapalli Geetha also has quit the party long back.
So, upon invitation, Butta Renuka attended the all-party meeting convened by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan today. The meeting was to discuss about upcoming monsoon session of Parliament and it’s business. BJP inviting Renuka and she attending the meeting in the capacity of YSRC deputy floor leader in Lok Sabha has obviously irked YSRCP leaders.
YSRC Rajya Sabha member V Vijay Sai Reddy fired on Union minister for parliamentary affairs Anant Kumar and reminded him her disqualification issue is pending with speaker. Even though Vijay Sai accused this as nexus between TDP and BJP, analysts see this as lack of strategy on part of YSRCP because this kind of situations are bound to happen after resignation of YSRCP MPs.
