Former prime minister and BJP leader Vajpayee, who was admitted into AIIMS on June 11 with kidney problem and urinary tract infection is still in the hospital. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited AIIMS this evening to enquire about the health condition of Vajpayee. Union minister Smriti Irani also visited AIIMS same day.
Vajpayee has been undergoing treatment at this premier institute and on life support since the last two days. He is 93-year-old, a diabetic and has only one functional kidney. He had suffered a stroke in 2009 and after that he developed dementia. He was admitted to the hospital on June 11th with kidney tract infection, chest congestion, urinary tract infection and urine output on the lower side.
However, there is no official update on Vajpayee’s health condition from the hospital.
