The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief Mr. Uttam Kumar Reddy’s wife Ms. Padmavati, who is sitting MLA from Kodada segment, may not contest in assembly polls due to many reasons.
Sources from Mahakutami told ‘Telugu 360’ that the Telangana TDP is seeking the segment under the alliance of Mahakutami as it was a stronghold to the party since 80’s. Ms. Padmavati won last election against TDP candidate Mr. Bollam Mallaiah Yadav, who is a strong leader in TDP-TS, with a difference of 13,374 votes and entered into the assembly along with her husband Mr. Uttam, who is representing from Huzurnagar segment. In order to reach the goal for Mahakutami that is to defeat TRS, Uttam’s family may scarify Kodada, the sources added.
If Uttam’s family opposes the decision of leaving the seat to TDP, there are chances of the congress high command’s condition imposed in these elections that provides a ticket per family. With this equation, Uttam’s family must scarify one seat. Meanwhile, few others including Mr. Janareddy and his son Ragu Vir Reddy, Ex MP Mr. Anjan Kumar Yadav and his son Mr. Anil Kumar Yadav, Ex-minister Ms. Sabitha Reddy and her son Mr. Patolla Karthik Reddy, Recently joined sitting MLA from Parakala Ms. Konda Surekha and her husband Mr. Konda Murali should also bind to one ticket rule.
