Attack on opposition leader of the state of Andhra Pradesh shocked many today. On one hand, people are surprised at security lapse in a place like airport and on the other hand media and social media became busy with blame games.
The guy who attacked on Jagan is identified as Srinivas Rao, from East Godavari district, working as Chef in a restaurant in Vizag airport. As per the details revealed by police, he belongs to SC community and studied till intermediate.
As the incident happened in airport, central minister of aviation, Suresh Prabhu immediately responded through Twitter. He tweeted, “Shocked by attack on Mr Jagan Reddy,Asked all agencies to investigate matter thoroughly,including @CISFHQrs .Asked secretary civil aviation to fix responsibility.I strongly condemn this cowardly attack,we will punish the guilty.Investigations are underway, started immediately”

However, YS Jagan responded through Twitter that he is ok and safe. He tweeted, “To everyone worried about my safety – I’d like to inform you that I am safe. God’s grace and the love, concern & blessings of the people of Andhra Pradesh will protect me. Such cowardice acts will not dissuade me but only strengthen my resolve to work for the people of my state!”

Minister of IT, Lokesh condemned this attack and responded through social media. He tweeted, ” Strongly condemn the attack on Opposition Leader @ysjagan garu that happened at Vizag airport. Such cowardly attacks have no place in the modern society.”

Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan also condemned this attack. Janasena party released a press note in this regard. The note said, such incidents should not happen in democracy and every one who believes in democracy should condemn this incident. Pawan opined, the attack on the opposition leader is a serious issue and the Center and the state governments have the responsibility to take steps to prevent such incidents.

TRS leader KTR responded in Twitter and condemned the incident. He urged the government to take stringent actions on those who are responsible and wished Jagan a speedy recovery. MIM party leader Asaduddin Owaisi condemned the incident and described it as coward’s act.

Home minister Chinarajappa also condemned the incident. Meanwhile, AP DGP Thakur told, the guy who stabbed Jagan might have done this for the sake of publicity. He also added that, security inside an airport is not the responsibility of the police but it is the responsibility of CISF. He also told, there is 10 page Letter with the guy and the details will be revealed to media soon.
Meanwhile, YSRCP leader Roja fired salvos on state government and Chandra Babu Naidu. She expressed doubts whether the knife used to stab Jagan is poisoned. BJP leaders Somu veerraju and GVL also responded and condemned the incident.
On the other hand, social media is busy debating which party he (the guy who stabbed) belong to. While some say, the owner under whom the guy works belong to TDP, others say that guy is indeed a hardcore fan of Jagan.
Anyway the incident needs to be condemned and hopefully complete details will come out in police inquiry.
