The government of Andhra Pradesh is sketching out grand plans to make Amaravathi a world class capital.
The chief minister has already laid foundation stones for construction of various iconic structures in and around Amaravathi and the works are currently underway.
Now, it is learnt that Amaravathi is going to have the world’s tallest secretariat which stands at an impressive height of 212 m. Engineering and construction major L&T has bagged the contract to build office buildings in Amaravathi. As part of this project, the secretariat will be build using a first of its kind Steel Diagrid structural system.
Diagrid is a framework of diagonally intersecting metal and concrete beams which requires less structural steel than conventional steel frames. The CM’s office will be located at the 46th floor with a 36 degree view of Amaravathi. It will have a helipad as well.
