TRS Minister K. Taraka Rama Rao (KTR), son of CM K. Chandrasekhara Rao, has dealt with the recent episode of Chevella MP Konda Visveswara Reddy. KTR has made all efforts to prevent the MP from making his decision to quit the TRS but it is of no use as eventually Visveswara Reddy has said good-bye. The MP is going to join the Congress party as is being predicted by many leaders of that party.
Coming at a time when elections are just a few weeks away, the TRS is considering this as a big embarrassment for the party. It is the reason why KTR made special efforts to reach out to Visveswara Reddy and convince him to remain with the party. As part of this, KTR has said that he is going to be the CM of Telangana for over 15 to 20 years and during this time he would offer his total support to all activities of Visveswara Reddy.
Despite such all out efforts, the Chevella MP has left the TRS amid rumours that he is attracted by the rival Congress leaders to give him a better position in the party. Visveswara Reddy has been unhappy with the rising influence of Minister Mahender Reddy in the TRS. Their differences have led to such a point where the MP’s followers were given problems in some places in Ranga Reddy district.
This has come as a matter of prestige for Visveswara Reddy who hails from the politically strong family of former deputy chief minister Konda Ranga Reddy. Meanwhile, the Congress leaders like Revanth Reddy have exploited the situation by wooing the MP in their party fold.
