Majority of the contenders in Telangana elections are now adopting three-B formula for their party workers in order to gain elections. They are using this code language with their associates at the end of the day while recording the entire day’s expenditure.
A source said that the three-Bs are Bear, Biryani and Battha (daily wage). “Each candidate from even rural areas is having at least 500 party workers along with them while on campaign whether it may be rally or road-show or door-to-door campaign. Now a labour at Adda is earning Rs. 400 of daily wage but, the political parties are offering them Rs. 500 Battha, Biryani and Bear bottle at the end of the day. Similarly, the party workers are getting Rs. 1,000 Battha, two Biryanies (Lunch and Dinner) and two Bear bottles,” the sources said.
If there are conflicts, in public meetings and road-shows of prominent leaders and candidates on behalf of candidates, between political parties, the wages of Adda Koolies is being increased up to Rs. 750 per day. “Due to this reason, the entire real estate sector is decayed as the adda koolies are not available. Public are suffering as majority of house maids are taking leaves to attend public meetings of political parties to gain a month’s salary in a day,” the sources said.
Mr. V.Rajagopal, a resident from Nallakunta, told this website that since the poll-fight began, their maid took 15 leaves on the pretext of sick or marriages or any other function. “Today our maid said that she needs leave on Sunday and when I asked her why? She simply told there is a marriage scheduled and she along with her family must attend it. When I asked her that due to Shukra Moudyam there are no Muhurthams, then she revealed the fact that she will get Rs. 750 apart from two-time meals if she attends a political party’s meeting organised at Amberpet,” he said.
