BJP star campaigner Swami Paripoornananda gave a clarion call to the people to oust the K Chandrasekhara Rao government in the December 7 election. He said KCR has greatly betrayed the interests of youth, women and all section of Telangana people by ignoring his promises made prior to separate statehood. During his election tour in Bhoopalapalli area, the Swami said KCR has raised high expectations on job opportunities among young people but failed to make any progress in this regard after coming to power.
Paripoornananda criticised there were many members of KCR’s family who have occupied top posts in the government and it seemed Telangana got statehood only for the benefit of this family and nobody else. He appealed to unemployed youth, women and elders to give their total support to the BJP candidates so as to bring a responsible government. There is an immediate need to prevent KCR from getting re-elected, he added.
Refuting allegations of bribery, Paripoornananda said if he was money-minded, the TRS party itself would have bought me by giving high amounts of money. He described the present battle as one between ‘Dharma’ and ‘Adharma’, a battle between righteousness and betrayal. The BJP leaders have targetted KCR and his family as the election day draws near.
Paripoornanada has become star campaigner for the BJP after he joined the party prior to the elections. This is part of the BJP’s game plan to polarise Hindu vote bank and increase the party strength in Telangana. This is the first time the BJP is making all out bid to power sharing in the state.
