None of the three films that released this week showed signs of having a promising run at the US box office in the first weekend. After a moderate start on Thursday premiers, all three films had a relatively dull Friday in overseas.

While Kannada period film KGF is just OK on Friday, Telugu films Anthariksham and PPLM have fallen flat. KGF collected close to $ 55K from 59 locations on Friday and took the total past $ 110K. Anthariksham collected a meagre $ 58K from 95 locations and the total is close to $ 150K. Sharwanand’s Padi Padi Leche Manasu is having a disappointing run with poor numbers. After collecting $ 70K on premiers, the film collected $ 40K on Friday.

Both Anthariksham and Padi Padi Leche Manasu should gross more than $ 800K to be in safe zone. Going by their current run, it seems like both films are likely to end as huge loss ventures in overseas.
