Telangana CM K Chandrasekhara Rao held discussions with Orissa CM Navin Patnaik on his proposed Federal Front as a platform of regional parties against both the BJP and the Congress at the national level. Reacting on this meet, AP CM N Chandrababu Naidu simply said he had no clear information as to what really came out of that meeting.
At the same time, CBN said Orissa has filed a case in the court against the Polavaram life line irrigation project being constructed by Andhra Pradesh. His comments gave rise to doubts whether KCR is provoking Orissa CM not to extend any support to AP on such projects of inter-state interests. CBN said there was no threat or damage to any part of Telangana because of the Polavaram project.
KCR is known for his bitter comments and totally negative stand against Andhras. At one point of time, he described Chandrababu Naidu and later YS Rajasekhara Reddy as ‘durmaargulu’ (evil doers). Now that Orissa CM has met with KCR has triggered suspicions if Navin Patnaik is also causing problems for the AP cause.
Right now the TDP leaders are taking advantage of every political development to gain an edge over their rivals. The KCR-Patnaik meeting is also going to give them one more issue to highlight collusion of anti-AP leaders ahead of 2019 elections.
