Kannada period film KGF is having a sensational run at the US box office after its release last Friday. KGF has emerged as the highest grossing Kannada film till date in overseas by the end of Monday.
After taking a decent start on Thursday premiers, the action entertainer starring Yash in the lead role, has performed impressively in the first weekend by surpassing the $ 300K mark. With a good Monday gross, KGF has now become the biggest Kannada grosser of all time. KGF has grossed $ 355 k as of this writing and took over the lifetime run of Kirik Party ( $270K) and Rangitaranga ( $ 315K).
The larger than life action episodes and elevation of hero’s character seems to have struck the chord with Kannada audience and helped the film to have a sensational run at US box office. Prasanth Neel is the director.
