PM Modi launched a scathing attack on AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. Modi’s main attack is on why Naidu is supporting the Congress party while his father-in-law and TDP founder NT Rama Rao set up his party to eliminate the Congress in the country. It is well known NTR also played a crucial at the national level by forming the National Front against the Congress that eventually grabbed power at the Centre in the past.
Modi addressed a video conference with BJP leaders and cadres in Kadapa district. He said the Chandrababu Naidu government made it a single point programme to criticise the BJP rather than solving the problems of the people like drinking water problem in remote corners. Modi said NTR worked hard to build an India without Congress but the scene had reversed now as his son-in-law Chandrababu Naidu was helping to bring the Congress back to power.
Modi questioned the need for Naidu to take the lead in forming an anti-BJP alliance at the national level with the sole objective of helping the Congress. He said the Chandrababu Naidu government is not able to show records on how the Central funds given to it were spent in AP state. While various schemes were implemented in Gujarat to improve irrigation and help farmers, such efforts were not made in the AP state, Modi said.
