Lady super star and Congress leader Vijayashanthi gave a piece of political advice to Chiranjeevi through her twitter account. In a series of tweets, she expressed her concerns about future of Andhra Pradesh, and wrote about Special category status, and the need of AP political parties to unite and fight against BJP to achieve special category status for the state. She also advised mega star Chiranjeevi to take up proactive role in uniting the political parties of Andhra Pradesh in the fight for special category status. She also didn’t miss to emphasize that special category status to Andhra Pradesh is possible only through congress party.

Vijayashanthi wrote in her twitter, ” After going through the political developments in AP for the last two days… it is surprising and very confusing looking at the stand taken by the main parties. Every party except BJP is demanding for special status. Everyone is trying to get mileage with this issue. But they will not come together. YCP and TDP will fight with each other instead of fighting together with BJP. The same scene repeats with YCP and Janasena. Then how will these parties put pressure on BJP without coming together for a cause? Main parties including Janasena are missing the logic that without supporting INC they cannot achieve Special Status because Congress has already passed a resolution in favour of special status. At this juncture I feel, all the main parties belonging to AP must come together along with Congress to achieve their goal. And it’s the right time for popular personalities like Chiranjeevi garu to strengthen Congress party to fulfil the ambition of AP people. If not, the agitation and operation would be a success… but Special Status cause will go dead. This is my opinion as a COMMITTED CONGRESS WORKER ”
Critical comments on her write-up:
It is good to see Vijayashanthi worrying about the future of Andhra Pradesh. It is still fresh in the memory of people when she spoke ‘ we are least bothered about what happens to Seemandhra, but we want our Telangana’, during Telangana movement. People still remember her reaction when some kids died in government hospital in Hyderabad. Instead of criticizing the callousness of the government and hospital, she commented, in the capacity of Talking Telangana party leader , ‘ why the doctors are killing the kids of my Telangana’. That’s why, now her concerning comments about future of AP surprise many.
Also her immense faith in Chiranjeevi’s ability also surprising now. It was she who came down heavily on Chiranjeevi when he floated Praja Rajyam party. It was she who abbreviated PRP means ‘Paniki Rani Party’. She was the one who commented that her stature is much bigger than Chiranjeevi as she was ‘Won MP’ while Chiranjeevi was ‘lost MLA’.
Overall:
Of course there is nothing permanent in politics and she has every right to advise Chiranjeevi or , for that matter, anyone. But whether to receive that advice or not is up to that other person. By seeing her credentials of recent past with regard to AP as well as Chiranjeevi, most probably, Chiranjeevi may not pay heed to her advice.
