It is known news that Congress party lost miserably in 2018 Telangana state elections as TRS won the election with thumping majority. Now, Congress high command started retrospection and is in the process of consolidating the ‘ lessons learned’. However, as per the reports, party may replace it’s PCC chief so that it will be in a better position to combat upcoming 2019 election.
In the war room meeting of Congress on this subject, reportedly, most of the leaders opined that party is strong at grassroot level but party leadership at the state failed to translate it into votes. The participants also spoke strongly about changing the leadership and encouraging younger generation of leaders. Party supremo Rahul Gandhi also participated in the meeting and he too seemed to have agreed with the arguments.
So, most probably, Telangana PCC will have a new chief before 2019 election. As of now there are many aspirants for this position like Bhatti vikramarka, Komatireddy, DK Aruna, Shabeer Ali – to name a few.
We will have to wait and see if Rahul Gandhi really replaces Uttam Kumar Reddy and if he does so, who will take over.
