All the major political parties are getting ready for the Lok Sabha elections which are to be held in April. The political leaders who want to contest in these elections are brain waving. The TRS party, after winning the Assembly polls unilaterally, is confidently moving forward with the Lok Sabha polls.
The major political parties targeted Mahabubnagar seat this time. In the last election, TRS candidate Amudalapalli Jithendar Reddy had won against former Union Minister Jaipal Reddy with a majority of 2590 votes. For this election, TRS is planning to give the MP ticket to Jithendar Reddy again. While campaigning for Assembly elections, Jithendar Reddy announced that he will contest in the Lok Sabha polls and asked the public to vote for him.
Meanwhile, after the loss in recent Assembly elections, Congress is planning to win Mahabubnagar Lok Sabha this time. Congress wants to finalize its candidates by the end of February and the strong candidates for the ticket in Mahabubnagar- Jaipal Reddy, DK Aruna and Revanth Reddy have not even applied for the ticket. This is causing tension in the Congress high command. We have to wait and see who will the high command think will be worthy of that ticket. In any case, one of those three candidates will get the ticket.
