During this election season, many film personalities joining some party or other. Not just actors but technicians and other film industry people are also joining politics. In a rather surprising development, Singer Mano joins political party, Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam of T. T. V. Dhinakaran.
Nagoor Babu, also known as Mano, is a multi-faceted personality. He is a playback singer, voice-over artist, actor, producer, television anchor and music composer. He is known for his extraordinary dubbing to Rajnikant in Telugu dubbed versions. He is a recipient of several awards such as the Nandi Awards from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu.
It is known news that TTV. Dhinakaran won as MLA in by-election for Assembly from RK Nagar. He is the nephew of V. K. Sasikala and he launched his political party, Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam in 2018. There are upcoming bi-elections for 20 assembly seats and if Dinakaran wins majority of them, he may dictate terms in Tamil Nadu politics as existing Palani swamy government may lose the majority and will need his support.
For Lok Sabha elections, already AIADMK joined NDA and DMK joined UPA. But TTV Dinakaran has been making his moves very carefully. We will have to wait and see what kind of political future is ahead for Mano in Tamil Nadu.
