Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja has reportedly agreed to star in the remake of Tamil cop drama Theri after director Santosh Srinivas made considerable changes to the original script. Mythri Movie Makers, who wanted to remake the film with Pawan Kalyan, approached Ravi Teja last year to play the lead role. Ravi Teja initially gave the nod to reprise Vijay’s role in Telugu version, but he kept the film on hold due to script issues. This has led to speculations that the project has been shelved.
It is now learnt that Ravi Teja is convinced with the script changes made by Santosh Srinivas. Sources revealed that the pre-production work is in full swing and the regular shooting will commence from mid-April. Ravi Teja has allotted dates to the film and he will simultaneously shoot for VI Anand’s Disco Raja and Theri remake. Both these films will hit the screens in the second half of this year.
