YSRCP chief YS Jagan postponed the announcement of the candidates for 2019 election. Earlier, YSRCP announced that the first list will be out on March 13th. Many leaders along with their cadres reached Jagan’s residence to know their fate, but Jagan postponed the announcement in the last minute.
Earlier it was rumoured that, Jagan will be announcing the first list with 75 candidates today and that may include a few MP tickets. But today announcement came from YSRCP that , Jagan will be disclosing the first list only on 16th March. It seems most of the parties are waiting for the other party to reveal the candidate first so that they can do any adjustments in their own list if needed.
Moreover Jagan has one more problem that, he has 3-4 aspirants from each of the constituency, and announcing one of those aspirants as the candidate will definitely impact the party as they may either join the other party or contest as Rebel candidate. In worst case, if he announces, a new candidate other than those four candidates working for the party for last few years, all of them may turn rebels. By postponing the announcement of the candidates he is just ensuring that such rebels will not have much time to make their plans for elections.
First list of all the parties expected to be out by this week itself.
