Jeevitha and Rajasekhar today joined YSRCP again. They travelled with Jagan in the early days of Jagan’s political career but later they parted ways with Jagan.
Heydays during 2009:
During 2009 elections, they supported Congress party and YSR and vehemently opposed Prajarajyam party and Chiranjeevi. They used to get lot of attention from media for any comment they make on Chiranjeevi or PRP. Moreover, whenever someone (e.g. Neethu Chandra of Godavari fame) makes severe comments on them, those comments used to be ignored by Telugu media. After YSR’s death, Puri Jagannath planned a biopic on YSR and Rajasekhar was supposed to be hero of that movie but the movie got shelved.
However, after Chiranjeevi merged PRP into Congress, they felt nobody in Congress supported them and left the party. They associated themselves with Jagan but they came out after differences with Jagan. They met CBN and told media that they will be joining TDP.
Jeevitha and Rajasekhar’s shocking comments on Jagan in 2012:
They made very sharp comments on not only Jagan but also on YV Subba Reddy and Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, the leaders of YSRCP. They revealed that Jagan doesn’t like Rajasekhar wearing jeans pants and goggles. They added that Jagan asked Rajasekhar on face not to wear Jeans and goggles during party programs. They both told that it revealed Jagan’s attitude and arrogance. One more reason they explained was that Jagan was willing to join Jeevitha into the party but not the Rajasekhar. They also commented later that Jagan getting arrest is justified as they firmly believe that Jagan has involved in corruption.
Why now suddenly back to YSRCP?
Now they are back to Jagan’s fold and commented that they will work hard to see Jagan as CM. Probably Rajasekhar may not wear Jeans pants and goggles whenever he goes to meet Jagan. As per the inside sources, as per the advice of Prashant Kishore, a team in YSRCP is relentlessly working on joining someone or other from film industry on daily basis and they themselves are making calls to the personalities. The strategy of Prashant Kishore seems to be that joining of film personalities keep the party in news and gives an impression to the people that these people are joining as they are predicting Jagan coming into power. At the same time, these film personalities are not willing to say “No” as the call coming directly from the YSRCP bigwigs fearing they may keep this in mind after coming into power.
Jeevitha and Rajasekhar have covered almost all the parties including BJP, TDP, Congress and YSRCP. We will have to wait and see whether joining of these will help YSRCP in anyway.
