South Superstar Kamal Haasan who floated his own political party Makkal Needhi Maiam is also busy with his film engagements. He signed a big budget film for Shankar Indian 2 and the film is the sequel for his super hit film Indian. The first schedule took place early this year and the shoot of the film has been kept on hold. There are wide speculations that the film is shelved due to budget constraints. Soon, Kamal turned busy with his political meetings and with elections inching, the shoot is kept on hold.
The film’s makers Lyca Productions are keen on getting the tight budget of the film but Shankar is not in a mood to confirm them the same. With Kamal busy with politics, the makers mounted pressure on Shankar to work on the exact budget. Shankar is in plans to present them with the budget and if they walk out, he is in plans to continue the film with other makers. Shankar is also in talks with a couple of top production houses and will get enough funds to wrap up the project.
Things will be finalized by the end of this month and if the project gets major changes, official announcements would be made. Kajal is the female lead and Anirudh is the music director.
